We are looking for a Banker CIB (covering ENERGY / NRUI: Natural Resources, Utilities and Infra sectors) to join us at this pivotal moment, share our vision, and help shape the future of European banking.

What you will be doing?

Job Purpose:

As a Banker, your responsibilities will range from managing relationships with the bank’s most significant corporate clients, their top management, and owners, to engaging in complex structured finance and investment banking deals. By supporting the NRUI Senior Banker, you will act as an integral part of the coverage team, delivering tailored financial solutions and strategic insights to help clients achieve their long-term business goals. This role requires a deep understanding of financial products and services, industry dynamics, and the ability to drive value across complex organizational structures whilst maintaining highly efficient planning and coordination.

Furthermore, you will develop and maintain relationships with selected corporate and investment banking clients, actively contributing to their financial needs and strategic objectives. This role is ideally suited for individuals with experience in banking or finance who are ready to build relationships and contribute directly to business development through all the products and services offered by the Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on maintaining strong, long-term relationships with strategic corporate and investment banking clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Support senior team members in all areas of operation, including, but not limited to, origination, structuring & execution of a wide array of transactions and services.
  • Identify client needs and provide comprehensive financial solutions, drawing on the Group’s full range of products and services.
  • Originating and executing corporate and investment banking transactions.
  • Collaborate closely with all coverage and product specialists, risk teams, and senior management to structure and implement customized financial strategies.
  • Work on internal credit memos, financial analysis and modelling, support in risk assessment as well as present cases to key decision takers.
  • Monitor client portfolios and proactively identify opportunities for growth, cross-sell, and risk mitigation.
  • Be a valuable part of client meetings and strategic reviews, ensuring continuous alignment with clients’ evolving business objectives and needs.
  • Stay abreast of market developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends impacting clients.
  • Support the creation of all materials for external and internal stakeholders, pitch books, and relationship strategies in alignment with internal policies and compliance standards.
  • Engage in the negotiation of all forms of documentation i.a. term sheets, facility agreements, waivers, and other legal documentation.
  • Coordinate work streams throughout the entire transactional process.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of client onboarding (incl. KYC) and compliance-related documentation.
  • Actively contribute to the development of the bank’s corporate and investment banking strategy by providing client insights and market feedback.

Skills you should have

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in corporate & investment banking, finance, advisory or Private Equity.
  • Proven track record of delivering tailored financial solutions.
  • Extensive background in transactions’ origination, structuring and execution, credit analysis, and financial modelling.
  • Practical knowledge of financial products.
  • Ability to analyze and conduct independent due diligence of various transactions as well as ability to identify industry trends & risk.
  • Ability to lead, coordinate and execute complex transactions.
  • High level of accuracy, responsibility, and organizational discipline.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite including MS Word, Excel, Power Point Competencies.
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken); additional languages are of value
  • High ethical standards, strong business acumen, and a client-centric mindset.
